Being a first responder, or the spouse of one is challenging. The stress, trauma exposure, shift work, financial struggles, relationship difficulties, and more can affect your mental health. As a former first responder, I "get it". Let's work together to find ways to overcome your hurdles and reset back to a healthy baseline. Although I specialize in working with first responders, I welcome other individuals as well. I practice from a trauma informed perspective in order to best support my clients. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), solution focused therapy (SFT), and utilize mindfulness and DBT skills in sessions. My goal is to provide a comfortable space for first people to share their feelings and experiences without fear of judgment, working toward positive changes to increase functioning and coping skills to provide front-line services to the community.
