Amber Whitlatch
Amber Whitlatch is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She has over 20 years of experience providing care in diverse medical settings, including 15 years in the military. During her first master's degree in nursing, she trained as a crisis counselor and soon became a SAFE-EMDR therapist and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Specializing in trauma, she soon realized that many illnesses can benefit from addressing the root cause. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati, Amber completed a residency in geriatric psychiatry, eventually creating a dementia support program. Throughout her career, she has dedicated her efforts to various facets of mental health care, including teaching, peer review work for psychiatric research and published journals, and advancing access to treating trauma.
