Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
Many of us feel an overwhelming pressure to conform to societal standards of what it means to be "normal." This can lead to stress, feelings of low-self-worth, isolation, sadness, anxiety, and a sense of disconnection from others and from who we truly are. Choosing to stand out and embrace your unique self can be both liberating and challenging. You might feel like an outsider, in navigating a path or dealing with mental health challenges that aren’t always understood or accepted by those around you. I understand the courage it takes to be true to yourself in the face of societal and social media pressure, and I'm here to support you on this journey to hope and healing.
In 2002, I graduated from Rivier University in Nashua, New Hampshire with a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I have been in individual practice for three years. Prior to individual practice, I worked in community based mental health for many years providing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing depression, low self-esteem, rapid cycling of mood, personality disorders, and anxiety.
I utilize an eclectic or integrative therapeutic approach with my clients to assist in facilitating the understanding of various strategies for coping and problem-solving. I have found that this non-traditional and non-rigid approach to be more inviting.
My approach to therapy is rooted in kindness, warmth, and growth. As a true 80’s kid new wave/post-punk misfit, I bring an open mind to my practice, my clients, making therapy a relatable and engaging experience.
My clients have described me as kind, calming, patient, open, supportive, funny, direct, idiosyncratic, and slightly rebellious. My goal is to help you find new grounding, hope, and healing.
