WELCOME.... My practice is called Conversations with Amy... the reason is that I want our time together to feel like you are having a conversation with a close trusted friend. I always want my clients to feel seen and heard without judgment. I blend honesty, kindness, humor and lightheartedness to explore your "humanness" in a compassionate way... sometimes we find ourselves laughing our way through our tears and pain... other time we may need to have someone just sit with us... every experience is different and valid. As a therapist I am eclectic in the way I gather information to learn who you are, however my approach to life as a therapist and human is "Solution Focused". I want to help you discover what is keeping you from having a life that you love and brings you Happiness, Acceptance and Peace! What I mean by “Solution Focused” is that I have an innate ability to identify behaviors, patterns, thoughts and beliefs that contribute to your lack of meaningful change with humor and kindness. My background, in short, I am a LMHC-QS in Florida & LPC in South Carolina, I have an AA in Sociology, BS in HR Admin and a MS in Counseling from NSU. I have been practicing as a therapist for over 10 years. I have spent most of my life dedicated to helping other people experience Happiness and Peace.
