Ana Mateo
I was 12 years old when I witnessed my neighbor’s traumatic life experience. I knew then I wanted to find a way to help people ease their suffering. Today, I am a licensed counselor in Florida, and also a doctoral candidate in Human Services with a concentration in children and families at Carlos Albizu University. I have 6 years’ experience assisting clients with unresolved trauma, and related disorders, anger management, adjustment disorders, and inability to carry on with daily routine. I belief that anyone can overcome any difficulty in life with support. In my practice I focus on building a collaborative and authentic therapeutic relationship. My approach to therapy involves an integration of cognitive-behavioral therapy and interpersonal process within a multicultural framework. I often explore with clients how their identity impacts their life, and their thought ultimately shape their actions. I am here to guide you as you take steps towards positive life changes to achieve a healthier mind and body.
