Boneh Avidor
My formal training in clinical psychology has been expanded on in a variety of settings, including educational, physical rehabilitation, hospital-based neuropsychology, infant mental health, outpatient clinics and long term care facilities. I have had much experience in working with spectrum disorders across the lifespan. I have served as Assistant Director as well as Chief Psychologist. In private practice since 1997, full time since 2018, I transitioned to telehealth when the pandemic began. My overall approach is eclectic, and is geared toward individual needs. While my early training was primarily psychodynamic, I now employ psychodynamic principles but utilize evidence based approaches including CBT, Thought Identification and Replacement and Exposure and Response Prevention, principles and techniques of EMDR as well as mindfulness and related stress management techniques. Clients should expect our sessions to provide a feeling that I understand their perceptions and needs; that change is possible; that I validate their feelings and that the techniques utilized are indeed addressing their symptoms.
