Finding the right counselor can be challenging. It is something that should be done in a safe, non-judgmental environment that is individualized to meet your needs to help you feel validated and understood. As a licensed social worker for over 14 years, I specialize in helping individuals with anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias, relationship distress, and stress and time management issues in both English and Spanish. My experience has extended from community centers, in home therapy and integrative medical settings with underserved communities. I have also worked for many years with domestic violence victims and immigrants. A variety of types of therapy are utilized including Behavioral Activation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Treatment, and Problem-Solving techniques. My counseling style will be structured to meet your needs and varies with each client so please feel free to let me know any that is or isn't helpful or specific areas you would like to address.
