Brooke Turk
Brooke received her BS degree in Psychology from the University of North Georgia and earned her MS in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Brenau University. She completed her master's thesis in cognitive strengths of college students and has a specialty in cognitive processing. Brooke has a variety of experience in research, psychological and cognitive assessments. Brooke’s theoretical orientation is from a systems perspective, with additional skills and strengths in cognitive behavioral therapy and others. Brooke has seen individuals, couples, families, and groups in private practice. She has a background in assisting group therapy with parents and children experiencing difficulties with behavioral, emotional, and attention problems. Brooke is interested in counseling adolescents but counsels adults in both individual therapy. In individual therapy, Brooke provides unconditional positive regard for those struggling with internal and external challenges faced from medical illnesses to extenuating circumstances. For couples, Brooke can work with couples for premarital therapy, as well as recently married couples and usually under 30. As a LPC, Brooke completed her direction and supervision requirements according to the guidelines for a Professional Counselor. Her passions are horseback riding, volunteering, and music. Brooke’s personal goal in therapy is to help others in self-discovery and personal growth.
