Hello, I'm Camron. If you're here, you're likely contemplating seeking a solution for a problem you're experiencing. You've probably tried many things on your own before reaching out for help but haven't found the solution that works for you. You may have mixed feelings about talking with a professional about what you're going through. Please know that you are not alone. What you are experiencing is quite common. But you are here and have taken the first steps on the path toward a solution, and I'm here to help.
I am a client-centered, strengths-based therapist who uses an integrative approach to therapy to best meet the unique needs of each client. I draw from various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Attachment-based Psychotherapy, Emotion-focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy.
I meet clients where they are and implement effective methods to instill self-understanding and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards themselves and life situations. Perhaps you're feeling down or anxious, unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in my sessions, I promote behavioral and emotional transformation by encouraging a positive outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and reactions. I have the tools and professional experience to help you get back on track.
It's essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix; it's a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from both the client and therapist. But in the end, making small changes to our attitudes, beliefs, or self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
I was born and raised in Ohio and spent much of my childhood summers in Indiana on the lake. I attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, for my undergrad, where I majored in Psychology and Zoology. I earned my Master's degree from the University of Dayton in 2004 and became a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with the State of Ohio in 2005. I've practiced as a professional clinical counselor in various settings since then. After moving to Indiana in 2021, I became licensed to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state. I earned my PhD in Human Services in 2021 after completing my dissertation on the housing stability and social support experiences of youth who emancipated from the foster care system. I have extensive clinical experience working with people of various ages and backgrounds who have faced challenges with depression, anxiety, trauma-related issues, sexuality issues, identity issues, relationship problems, and other life obstacles. I've helped many work through difficult life transitions of various kinds. I work successfully with teens, adults, and couples.
I look forward to speaking with you. Please contact me if you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment.
