Candace Gaeta
What does your typical day look like? What has been a roadblock that’s prevented you from feeling happy? Are you willing to set goals to achieve a new sense of happiness? I am not going to sugarcoat it; therapy can be challenging. Change is hard, and you will face new challenges that will test your ability to try something new. When you put the work and effort into it, you will discover a new sense of well-being and make a positive change in your life. I am a LICSW with more than 15 years working with children, teens, adolescents, and adults with social-emotional behavioral disabilities, generalized anxiety, depression, trauma, and OCD from multiple cultures and ethnic backgrounds. I am passionate about researching and discovering new ways how to help a client. During your first few sessions, we will spend time getting to know one another. My priority is to foster an all-inclusive space, so you feel welcome and achieve a sense of belonging and safety. What’s most important is that whoever you seek therapy with, you feel comfortable with that provider. My specific therapy style is very direct and extremely engaging. What you’re going through puts enough stress on the body, so I strive to incorporate humor and enlightenment in each session. For me, as your therapist, prioritizing that over the harder pieces is what makes a difference. By looking at the good and the positives, I find ways to see how the good can help with the negatives. When you are straightforward about what you want from therapy, I can create practices and solutions that work with your strengths. My formal education is complemented by a CPR certification and a safety care certification. Additionally, I am restorative justice certified. I am in the process of starting my doctoral education in 2024. If you are ready to take the next first step in your life, reach out to me today!
