My work has been a mix of public and private sector involvement, including 11 years of community mental health service and over 30 years of individual practice. I have extensive experience in both home- and office-based psychotherapy, program development, clinical supervision, and clinical innovation. Special populations have included people with developmental disabilities, children and adolescents at risk for out-of-home placements, people with substance abuse issues, and geriatric populations; all have experienced various forms of grief, loss, and trauma while navigating the simple task of living and surviving. To make our site free for consumers, Psych Hub receives fees from provider groups, networks, or individual providers to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
