Hello! I I was a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Iowa prior to relocating to Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I currently hold a licence in both Iowa and Texas. I have 20+ years of experience promoting mental health with the use of evidence-based cognitive behavioral practices, including trauma-sensitive therapies, EMDR, ACT, and Mindfulness. I have a vast and extensive professional and personal experiences have led to my passion and comfort in working with diverse clientele, young adults through seniors, and persons who been marginalized due to LGBTQ+ identities and social oppression. I have experience with a broad range of issues including sex trafficking, domestic abuse/violence, substance use, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as more common experiences of depression, anxiety, and struggles with developmental and life transitions.
