Cary Hasselbacher
The first step towards making changes in your life and finding a counselor to help can be overwhelming! I have been providing mental health and addiction treatment to individuals for over 12 years after graduating from the University of Akron. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation (LPCC-S). I offer my clients a non-judgmental and supportive environment filled with compassion to embark on their journey of change. I tailor the counseling process to fit each individual's needs. I feel it is paramount to create an atmosphere of trust where the client can be free to express their thoughts without judgement. I have experience working with individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, trauma, ADHD, Bipolar, OCD, domestic violence, self-esteem and relationship issues. I utilize treatment techniques including CBT, DBT, Trauma Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy. I specialize in adolescence and adult ages. I empower my clients with skill sets that will not only be valuable to their current issues, but will serve them throughout their lifetime. I find nothing more rewarding than watching a client grow and thrive through the counseling process and commitment to change! I have a laid back personality with a good sense of humor that helps others feel comfortable opening up. I believe that your counseling experience should be tailored to you and your specific needs. I work to facilitate open communication so that you feel comfortable collaborating on the best treatment for you.
