Chikeitha Owens
Chikeitha is detail oriented, creative and loves learning new things, new ventures and hobbies. She is a Christian author and speaker and enjoys writing and encouraging others. Initially she attended the University of North Texas. She later completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southwestern Adventist University in 2004. Chikeitha completed her Master of Art degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University of Dallas in 2007. In her role as a Professional Counselor, she utilizes Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness and Person Centered Therapy. Chikeitha believes that having a Spiritual foundation will help with restoration when it comes to healing past trauma and moving forward. Clients can expect to walk away with an understanding the therapy structure. They will understand that their therapy session belong to them. They will understand that a safe place will be created for them to vent and express themselves freely while gaining the necessary coping mechanisms.
