Christina Layfield
Hello, here is a little about me: I have been married for 11 years now, and I have two children. I live in a small town in Northeast Ohio. I live a pretty quiet and relaxed life. I like to keep things simple. I love nature and animals. I have many pets at home, including a dog, two cats, and three rabbits. I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. I went to college and pursued a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Liberty University. I have around seven years of experience as a therapist. I am a huge believer in self-care—we have to care for ourselves in order to help others and be our best self. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness to help you understand and manage your emotions. Together, we will work on your identified goals. We will focus on your strengths and how we can utilize these in session and your life. I understand and appreciate diversity among people. I am non-judgmental. I do take a Christian worldview approach when requested. I do believe in mental health medications and the help they can provide.
