As humans, we are all shaped by the experiences, relationships, and ups and downs of life, and these can impact how we see and think about ourselves, others, and the world around us. These experiences can knock us off course or bring our “old stuff” to the surface. My goal is to help you get back on course, overcome the old and new “stuff” that arises, and build the strength, skills, and successes to confidently move forward in your life. My approach as a therapist is to get to know you, to meet you where you are, and work together to help get you to where you want to be. In addition to helping you learn new strategies, I offer to incorporate any creative interests you may have (such as art, writing, music) in our work together. Other interventions we may use are mindfulness practice, mind-body approaches, Emotional Freedom Techniques or “tapping,” breathwork, guided imagery, brain-based strategies, nature and green space, physical movement, and more.
