With over 20 years of experience providing a broad range of mental health services, my current practice strongly emphasizes providing therapeutic interventions for families, individuals and couples needing counseling services, while also welcoming the opportunity to work with adolescents with behavioral and emotional challenges. Over the course of my career, I have gained experience in many elements of the mental health field. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better. Youth should feel empowered to share their perspectives on a variety of different issues in a space that is safe and respectful. We advocate for the free exchange of ideas and feelings, recognizing that each of us have our own story and that there is value in all of our experiences. The goal is to provide space where youth can discuss and explore topics that are relevant and meaningful.
