Hello there, I'm Debbie! I'm excited to get to know you as we start your therapy process together.
My ideal client is an adult between the ages of 21 - 99 who is motivated to do the work needed to meet their goals. My therapeutic approach begins by offering clients a safe place to process the difficulties and stressors in their personal and professional lives and to assist them with finding their own solutions. I am dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve emotional well-being and balance through a non-judgmental, person-centered therapeutic approach. My specialties include working with clients living with depression, anxiety, and grief as well as families and care partners caring for a loved one living with dementia. I am also a facilitator for Prepare-Enrich, an evidence-based assessment tool that helps couples gain insight into the dynamics of their relationship by identifying areas of strength as well as areas of potential growth. I have a passion for offering support to clients who have experienced trauma and am in the process of becoming a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
A little more about me, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Public and Social Services in 1995 from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. I subsequently earned a Masters of Education in Professional Counseling from Augusta State University in Augusta, GA, in 2005, and have been professionally licensed in Georgia since 2009.
