I have over a decade of experience working with adolescents and adults who experience depression, anxiety and complex/chronic trauma. I understand that you may present as polished, high achieving, and feel like the glue of your family and social circle. Some people in your life would be shocked to know you're reaching out for help, because you have been masking your symptoms so skillfully. My approach is grounded in evidence based practices, however I am open to the reality that our field is constantly growing and evolving. I have training in several evidence-based approaches like EMDR, Mindfulness, CBT and DBT. However I understand that there are spiritual and cultural practices from your own traditions that we can work to incorporate into your coping tool kit. My goal is that after our sessions you feel more confident in your ability to cope with life's challenges and have the skills you need to manage when you are feeling overwhelmed. I also hope that you feel like you have a safe space where you can return.
