Ellen Lebowicz
I'm a licensed clinical social worker. I graduated Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. I've chalked up quite a few years of experience and have worked with diverse populations. That includes alcohol and substance abusers and their family members, the developmentally disabled and their family members, and students within K-12 school settings and their parents. And, of course, individuals whose struggles run the gamut...depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and more. Today, with growing pandemic concerns and the onslaught of mental health issues that have multiplied, there are so many evidence based treatment approaches that address many of these. But I believe that underlying all these methods is the relationship between the client and the provider. My style is warm and empathic, and I try to be right where you're at, while at the same time checking in with you from time to time to see where you might want to go. I'm a great listener, I have a comfortable style, and I will help you sort out your concerns so that you will, for starters, feel less overwhelmed and more hopeful. I respect the human spirit and hope you will see that you have what it takes to make this journey, with me, as your clinician there to help you take those steps.
