Eva Miller
I believe the primary role of a therapist is to help clients gain a sense of hope. Life can be challenging, even in the best of times, and talking through your issues can help. I'll do my best to help you figure out the root causes causes of your problems so they don't keep popping up. My job is not to advise you or to tell you what to do. Instead, I'll listen to your story and guide you as you develop a new way of living your life and dealing with the challenges that come your way. Life can be hard but it doesn't need to stay that way. I have 20 years of clinical experience working with adults of all ages with depression, anxiety, and bipolar-related issues; trauma; ADHD, autism spectrum and other developmental disorders; adjustment problems; as well as family and couple's relationship and sexual issues. My specialty is in working with seniors and people with disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson’s disease, with emphasis on cognitive enhancement training and dealing with end-of-life issues. I also work with caregivers, dealing primarily with caregiver burden issues. I'm trained in behavior therapy and can also help with person with dementia who may be noncompliant or aggressive. I use a highly eclectic, diverse approach tailored to meet individual client needs and I'm certified in eye-movement systematic desensitization (EMDR) therapy.
