Eve Meyer
I graduated with my Master's in Arts in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida in 2020. Since graduating, I've spent the past 3 and a half years working in Community Mental Health, working with under-served and low income families. Working in a Community setting has allowed me to come to the direct aid of LGBT+ individuals at a time of great need, given legislative changes in Florida, as well as synthesizing experience working with many other populations. I approach issues with a judgement-free, person-centered lens, and offer a space that is safe for the LGBTQIA+ community, trans-affirming, and sex/kink-positive. I provide care using a number of evidence-based modalities including person-centered therapy, CBT, ACT, and strengths-based therapy. I operate within a trauma-aware, feminist theoretical perspective, with the aim of helping you to feel empowered to take ownership over the parts of yourself that you have the agency to change. As a queer, neurodiverse individual myself, I understand intimately the need for well-informed, empathetic, affirming care when navigating the intersections of gender, sexuality, and our mental wellbeing. I hope that as my client, I can help you to take the steps to move towards a more complete vision of yourself, whatever that might look like to you.
