Frederica Wooten
I advocate for mental health and wellness—my clinical focus addresses fear, sadness, and trauma. I am a nationally certified provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma and PTSD. I use different treatment modalities and am a huge advocate for self-care and coping skills. I work with you to identify best practices for your healing. My goal is to respect and honor diversity while creating a safe space to explore in a co-learning environment. A person-centered approach is a modality I use to build and maintain a welcoming and secure environment. As a woman and minorities, our diversity, equity, and inclusion are not often seen and celebrated in the mental health community. I hope to be a light to those seeking support in the context of their individual lives in an environment uniquely designed to serve them. I have worked with teens, adults, and those in relationships to reduce anxiety, depression, and comparison, aiding them in experiencing increased peace, contentment, and control in their daily lives. The tools provided are perfected over my career, helping people like you. With many to choose from, my goal for you is to have a “toolbox” full of options whenever you need them. We will work together to address the problems bothering you right now, so you gain control.
