My name is George Koren. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor practicing Teletherapy in the state of New Jersey. I also have a license to practice as a Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Nevada. I bring virtually to a comfortable place of your choice 50+ years of clinical counseling experience. I have specific experience with trauma, addiction, anxiety, stress, and pain as well as with hypnotherapy, EMDR, and Brainspotting. My style is focused, present, and attentive, a ‘“be there” for you’ approach in order for you to become more present for yourself and pay attention, utilizing mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation with the goals of establishing and increasing self enhancing and enriching behavior and thinking. I can also utilize various additional clinical skills and techniques adapted for you uniquely which have been attained and practiced over the last five decades. My initial goal for session one is simply to make contact and a connection. I will introduce myself and ask you to do the same. I am hoping here that we can connect because I believe that this is the essence of healing. Also, in discussing treatment possibilities and my experience, my plan additionally is that you leave with a sense of hope.
