Hi, I'm Gilda. I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I have a degree in social work from UC Berkeley, a bachelor's degree in nursing from University of Massachusetts, and a master’s degree in nursing from University of Wyoming. I’ve been a psychiatric nurse practitioner for 12 years and a nurse since 2003. I have also worked as a social worker. I enjoy working with seriously mentally ill (like people with schizophrenia) and also working with people with bipolar/depression, anxiety, trauma. I believe that it’s a we relationship. I start our relationship by asking what would you like me to help you with and that question will be echoed throughout our conversations. This is a collaborative relationship. I will provide my expertise and you decide what you would like to do. Ultimately, it is your brain, body, mind, emotions and spirit and my job is to help you be the best person you want to be. You, hopefully, will feel listened to and cared about in our sessions. You may not feel happy but I hope you will feel like someone really heard what you are saying and feeling.

The care options presented consist of treatment providers that we have assessed to be quality providers across a range of services for mental health, substance use, relationships, and other well-being needs. We aim to include only high quality providers and multiple viable options for those seeking care.

Do participating providers pay us?

To make our site free for consumers, providers on Psych Hub pay fees to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. Some also purchase Psych Hub's educational content for practitioner training and client support. These fees enable us to operate our service, including screening and updating information on each provider.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What is the relationship between Psych Hub and these providers?

The providers listed on our site are all independent entities from Psych Hub. We have a contractual relationship with each provider that governs the terms of their participation on the site, and in some cases, as mentioned above, their use of Psych Hub's educational content. There is no other affiliation between Psych Hub and the providers listed on our site.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
