Cognitive behavioral therapy has been studied and shown to help people recognize and better manage thinking patterns that may have previously felt like traps. It's important for people to be aware of their thought process, emotions, and actions. Regulating our emotions and physical responses can be challenging, and therapy can be a safe space to explore new ways of doing this. CBT helps grow a better awarness of one's thought process, emotions, and actions which in turn will foster stability. We are committed to helping others grow their internal strengths and become their own coach, by collaborating and working as a team to get there. We are curious about you as an individual and want to know all we can to best help. We also gently encourage safe learning opportunities that maybe slightly out of our comfort zone to help with personal growth. As a practice, we strive to provide concrete, evidenced based tools to help you process and cope with your experiences in healthier ways. With an initial free phone screening and intake session, clients will have an orientation of what counseling is about, and the basics of what to expect during 50-55 minute sessions moving forward. Clients will have also been encouraged to think about what they want to focus on, or what goals they would like to work toward in therapy.
