"Smooth Seas don't make skillful sailors" -African Proverb I've been in clinical practice for over 20 years. I am a Graduate of the University Of Connecticut and later attended Southern California University for Professional Studies. In addition to being clinically orientated, I have an academic concentration in Healthcare administration, policy, and planning and a certificate from Cornell University with a focus on Nutrition and it's effectives on our mental health. My clients are given a nonjudgmental, accepting space to explore issues, and are guided to move towards growth and change. I incorporate mindfulness strategies, as well as techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist my clients with challenging previous ineffective ways of thinking. Issues I treat include trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, managing stress, and relationship challenges, addictions, Men's issues, and concerns particular to cultural matters.
