I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I’ve had the pleasure of helping people navigate and heal from their emotional wounds for the past 10 years. Throughout my professional journey, I’ve had the pleasure of working in different areas which have all given me invaluable experiences. From working in community mental health, crisis centers, University Counseling Center, hospitals and substance abuse rehabilitation, all have afforded me the ability to expand and gain knowledge in the field. I’ve equipped myself with tools such as Eye-Movement Desentization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Narrative skills and Solution-focused techniques. I am also trained as a couple’s therapist in Gottman method levels 1 and 2. I help people heal not only from trauma but other areas or consequences that can come from trauma, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, grief/loss, life transitions, couples/marital issues. My therapeutic approach is to first get to know YOU in order to build a therapeutic trusting relationship which usually equates to a collaborative and successful healing journey. I also begin to explore what your goals are or what you would most like to gain from this journey. From there, I develop a treatment plan or “guide map” in order to help attain your goals. We can explore that together until you have an idea of what you want.
