Jana Harber
I specialize in treating individuals struggling with anxiety and depression, developmental and life transitions, sexual orientation and sexual identity issues, and issues with grief and loss. I am a systems oriented therapist so I also enjoy working with families as well. I obtained my B.A. in Psychology and M.A in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of La Verne. Currently I am working towards my a doctorate degree in Psychology from Cal Southern University. I often take an eclectic approach to therapy, tailoring interventions and goals to the clients needs. Utilizing a humanistic/holistic approach to therapy, I like focus on human potential and self-discovery. A psychoanalytic approach allows for exploration and identification of childhood experiences, maladaptive patterns, healing from past experiences and insight into unconscious motives of human behavior. My hope is to help clients work through difficulties that cause marked distress in several differing domains. A solution-focused approach allows to explore and identify problem areas to focus on to assist clients in decreasing psychological and physiological symptoms and return to baseline functioning.
