I believe that change is possible. Through the years, I have been lucky enough in my career to watch my clients make difficult changes. Changes that ultimately allowed them to live fuller lives. As a therapist I know how difficult it is to make these changes. It starts with clients being willing (not necessarily excited) to go into the weeds and do the work required for change. I would be honored to walk your journey of exploration and change with you. I work with clients to clarify specific goals for therapy. Looking at both short-term and long-term goals while developing health skills to achieve stated goals. In my practice I utilize styles that best fit client and their goals. My main three are Mindfulness, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. You will learn how to observe how your thoughts are impacting your emotions and actions and begin to look at your thoughts/feelings instead of from them. These thoughts can be from negative self-talk, intrusive thoughts that disrupt daily life (and of course sleep) or thoughts from past events. I work with clients how have anxiety, OCD, substance use, and postpartum depression.
