Jessica Loftus
My primary focus is working with adults who struggle with anxiety, relationship issues, life adjustment concerns and/or depression. For many people I see, adverse early childhood experiences or trauma continues to have an impact on how they show up in the present. Therefore, I work with clients on gaining insight, self-compassion and changing the narrative so they feel more in control of their responses to stress and live a life aligned with their current values. By using an eclectic approach to therapy, I aim to find a balance of holding space to emotionally process difficult thoughts/feelings while also introducing helpful coping tools you can incorporate into your life to make things more manageable. If you find yourself feeling like you’re constantly pouring from an empty cup and would like to start filling up your own so that you can feel recharged and heal, then now is the time to reach out and start therapy. Our sessions are catered to your unique needs and goals, which may mean discussing recent events/emotional reactions, tying them back to recurring themes and identifying practical ways to resolve conflicts or cope with distress to prevent future issues. Some people enjoy using therapeutic homework/reading between sessions, others may opt out of that style of structure. It's all up to your comfort level and openness to try new approaches.
