Jessica Satkunasingham
I’m a compassionate therapist with a Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University. My approach is person-centered, which means I focus on meeting my clients where they are in their journey, offering a supportive and non-judgmental space for growth. I integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients make meaningful changes and move toward their goals. I believe in gently pushing clients when they need it, while always respecting their pace and individuality. I value building a trusting relationship with those I work with and strive to create a space where they feel safe, heard, and understood In sessions with me, clients can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore their thoughts and emotions. Using a blend of Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and DBT to help clients develop practical tools for managing challenges and achieving personal goals. Together, we will work on improving emotional regulation, breaking negative patterns, and building resilience, in a collaborative environment where clients feel empowered and understood.
