Jonathan Ardent
I practice primarily from a psychodynamic perspective with particular specialty in childhood trauma, relationship to oneself, and working with highly intellectual and high achieving individuals. Clients I see often have experiences with challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, mood disorders, relationship issues (with peers or partners), exploring gender and sexuality, stress, and thinking disorders. My goal as a therapist is to build a relational connection, process experiences of disruption, and unearth the roots of painful feelings. I draw on a broad cross-section of research and theories to tailor my work to the needs of each individual, and I seek to promote healing while also encouraging the cultivation of the strengths that you already possess. My hope is that therapy can offer a space where you will feel seen, receive support, and gain insight into the things you've already been through and everything you're experiencing today. It can be easy to put our own needs aside when other things feel more urgent, and I want to create a space where you and your needs get to be a consistent priority. I believe there is always potential for healing and change, and I would be honored to accompany you on that journey.
