I received my Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis and my Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. In addition, I am licensed in Texas and Louisiana with 14 years of professional work experience. Furthermore, I have experience in helping clients with coping with addictions, parenting issues, & anger management. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I have worked in secure care settings with young people from various backgrounds and I have also worked in both inpatient and out patient settings. Additionally, I have worked in school settings to address typical challenges that young people experience as they are trying to navigate the new responsibilities that come with transitioning into young adulthood. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
