Kara Barrentine
I am a LMHC in Florida with over 10 years of experience working as a mental health clinician. I studied at FSU where I obtained a Master of Science and Specialist in Education in Counseling and Human Services. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, addiction, mood dysregulation, trauma, and adjustment issues. I use an eclectic approach incorporating CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) that is individualized for each client. I strive to provide a warm, non-judgmental, and safe environment where the client is free to navigate difficult topics without judgment. Do you feel overwhelmed by daily responsibilities? Are you struggling with feelings of depression or anxiety? Is it difficult for you to be kind to yourself? Are you suffering from panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, or alcohol/drug abuse? Maybe you are dealing with relationship issues, family conflict, or work/life balance. You do not have to suffer anymore. I am here to help provide support, guiding you towards defining your values, tapping into your resources, and living a fuller life.
