Katelyn Meade
I am an integrative psychologist with a speciality in working with survivors of trauma, particularly sexual violence. I received my doctoral degree (PsyD) in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University where I practiced in several diverse and unique environments. In addition to my trauma work, I have specialities in working with adults and older adults, with concerns ranging from chronic illnesses, sexuality/gender exploration/ LGBTQIA+ issues, military-related, and sexual dysfunction. Therapy is a space for you to share your story and your experiences, and for us to work together to identify and address your unique needs. I work collaboratively with my clients to create this space and foster growth through warmth, humor, vulnerability, authenticity, and the relationship we build together. My goal is to create a space that is safe and supportive of your whole self and embraces all of your identities. Clients can expect to both learn skills to support them in coping throughout their daily life and discover new depths to their own identities. I believe that part of my role as a therapist is to empower my clients to show up as their authentic selves in our work and to honor that authenticity by meeting you exactly where you are.
