Katherine Douros
I'm a licensed therapist (LCSW) providing remote mental health services for clients located in NC and SC. I have a bachelors in Human Services from Montreat College were I played soccer, and a Masters in Social Work from East Carolina University with a concentration is substance use. In my time in the field I have worked with wide variety of clientele. I started in the field with a focus on trauma and substance use, in particular with victims of human trafficking (domestic minors and adult immigrants) and also worked in wilderness camps with teens involved in the juvenile justice system. Then I transitioned into work in a psychiatric hospital setting providing experience with geriatric, child, adolescent, adult, severe and persistent mental illness, and substance using populations. In addition to these areas, I have spent years working in the Assisted Living/Skilled Nursing settings. Outside of my professional life I enjoy spending time with my little family, design, real estate, playing soccer, surfing, travel, DIYing house projects, making excel spreadsheets, eating good food, audiobooks, and watching TV on the couch.
