My goal in working with clients is to create emotional safety and comfort in a non-judgmental space. By developing this rapport we can examine patterns of behavior and work to increase peace, wellness and hope. We work on developing the means to feel the authority, confidence, and strength to take control of one's life, make decisions, and act in line with your values. My approach to therapy is collaborative where we work together as partners in your healing journey. I will listen, validate, collaborate, and adapt to your evolving needs and preferences. Therapy often involves gaining the skills, resources, and self-assurance needed to overcome challenges and achieve personal or professional goals. After working for almost 30 years with clients I know the importance of feeling truly understood. Our thoughts do not have to control us and we can work on strategies to learn to observe thoughts and not fuse with them. I am Acceptance and Commitment Therapy trained which is an evidence based approach to healing. Thank you for allowing me to partner with you in this process!
