We all have a story we tell ourselves about who we are and where we belong in this world. With degrees in Neuroscience and Clinical Social Work as well as specialized training in infant mental health, I understand how difficulties in childhood can affect the way "our story" get's (mis)written throughout life. Today, I help adults unlock the power of their unique stories and find relief from years of suffering brought on by stressful childhood experiences. I use a relational approach to treatment, meaning we will think together about your goals and the best way to reach them. I utilize a combination of brain-based, body-based, and insight-oriented interventions--including EMDR and AEDP. After a time of building internal and external resources for coping we will identify target memories and make decisions about reprocessing in a way that feels courageous and safe. We often decide together on "growth work" to engage with between sessions. Clients that work with me are often struggling from years and years of depression, anxiety, and toxic shame. They're also often confused or overwhelmed by the root causes of suffering. In sessions, we uncover those experiences --some serving as ever present triggers and for others, skeletons buried deep beneath the surface -- keeping you stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Through reprocessing, we work to unlock your unique story and promote healing in just the ways you need it.
