Kimberly Fort
I am a LCSW in South Florida. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Buffalo in 2009. I have experience working with children, teenagers, and young adults through life transitions. My training and experience in the education system provides me a unique opportunity to work with the wide range of challenges and demands we are facing today - from isolation, rigorous demands, bullying, peer pressure, family conflict, grief, social media comparisons, and much more. I view therapy as a useful step in personal growth, rather than a process to treat what is "wrong with you." I value the mind-body connection and tailor my treatment approach to meet the individual strengths and needs of each client. My approach is client-centered and together we will focus on guiding you towards your goals. Following sessions, my goal is to have clients feel validated and understood. Our work together in sessions, will help you become more aware of thoughts and patterns of behaviors. By helping clients shift their attention to what is within their control, clients will feel empowered to begin making the changes they want in their lives.
