Kirstie Mcmurray
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming the things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. I value a collaborative, therapeutic, and safe space where we can focus on your healing and growth together. In 2014, I graduated from Salisbury University with my Master's in Social Work. I went on to become a licensed certified social worker - clinical (LCSW-C). As a licensed professional for the past 9 years, I have provided treatment in hospitals, communities, and via my private practice. I primarily work with adults who suffer from mood disorders, anxiety, grief, PTSD, and everyday life stressors. I also specialize in work with first responders, military and the LGBTQ+ community. My client-centered approach utilizes cognitive therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and mindfulness. By identifying why you react and think the way that you do, we can better understand the resulting behaviors. I value a safe environment for you to have the space to explore your emotions and thoughts without judgement. I truly believe that we can work together to help you feel more comfortable and confident within yourself.
