Krystal Wheeler
I decided to become a mental health professional after my husband, an Army veteran, was diagnosed with PTSD. I went to Ohio University and earned degrees in psychology and social work before eventually pursuing my master's degree in Clinical (Mental Health) Social Work from The Ohio State University. I have extensive experience working with military veterans, law enforcement officers, corrections officers, fire fighters, and many other professionals to help them process and heal from their experiences. I also specialize in working with grief and loss. I am fully trained in EMDR, CPT, and DBT. I have many certifications, including working with mindfulness, body-based coping and other somatic work. I am comfortable helping clients navigate the transition points in life, such at divorce, retirement and aging. I have experience working with those in the LGBTQI+ community. I am Gen X and it shows. Let's collaborate to help you achieve your self-determined goals.
