Kunaal Doshi
The aim of my practice is to help reduce moments of suffering and discomfort while increasing moments of joy, connectedness and resilience. At the core of my approach to therapy, is the belief that you are the expert of your life! Together, we will connect to your emotional experience, explore why certain patterns of thinking and behaving exist, heal wounds of the past, and create meaningful change. I adopt a humanistic, strengths based and trauma informed approach to my practice, drawing from a variety of modalities to incorporate both the mind and body; most commonly incorporating Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Internal Family systems (IFS), Cognitive behavioral (CBT), and other creative outlets such as art, play, and yoga. I specialize in working with individuals of all ages, experiencing anxiety, depression, career difficulties, compassion fatigue, coping with grief and loss, coping with life changes, family conflicts, relationship issues, self-esteem, and stress management. My experience and training in Couples and Family work has also allowed me to support couples and families experiencing challenges in their relationships with each other.
