Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. My name is Libby, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, serving clients residing in Wisconsin and Texas. With over ten years of experience, I've had the privilege of working with adolescents and adults from some of the most vulnerable populations.
As a Black female therapist, I am acutely aware of the significant stigma surrounding mental health treatment within Black and Brown communities. Various barriers contribute to the existing gap in mental health care, such as:
*An overwhelming fear of sharing personal experiences with a stranger
*Potential stigma from family and friends
*The most significant barrier, however, is silence.
Regrettably, many individuals endure their struggles in isolation, allowing harmful generational patterns—such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD—to persist. My mission is to disrupt these negative cycles by fostering a safe space for healing and helping you to rewrite your story.
