My name is Mara-Joanne Derinor. I am licensed in Florida, Kansas, and Arizona. My approach to mental healthcare is patient centered. My patients and their needs come first, second, and third. I provide evidence-based care for my patients. My focus areas of practice are anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, PTSD, psychotic disorders, and psychotherapy.

Mental health has always been a passion of mine. I’ve always known that I wanted to specialize in this field and be the difference I want to see in the world. In my free time, I love traveling, writing, reading, dancing, cooking, and spending time at the beach. I’m also fluent in Haitian Creole.

I’m deeply committed to challenging and changing the negative stigma surrounding mental health, especially within the Caribbean and Afro communities. My goal is to be a light and a positive influence for both my community and my patients.

Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
