Maria Basualdo
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with extensive experience supporting individuals through their life challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University and undergraduate degrees in psychology and philosophy from FIU. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from cognitive, psychoanalytic, and humanistic frameworks. My approach to therapy is integrative, combining elements from cognitive, psychoanalytic, and humanistic frameworks. I believe that each person is unique, so I tailor my methods to the individual’s needs, strengths, and goals. Together, we explore emotions, behaviors, and underlying patterns that may be impacting your well-being. I view therapy as a collaborative process where we create a safe, nonjudgmental space to help you gain insight, work through challenges, and foster personal growth. Clients can expect to leave sessions with greater self-awareness, practical tools for managing challenges, and a deeper understanding of the patterns influencing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through our work together, you’ll gain insight into your strengths, develop healthier coping strategies, and build skills to create meaningful and lasting changes.
