Marisela Elliott
I began providing trauma-informed family preservation services in 2006. Since 2009, I have provided clinical services to clients and patients in various settings, including private practice, outpatient SUD treatment, treatment specialty courts, regional hospitals, community mental health, and in-home hospices with end-of-life counseling for patients and their families. I diagnose and treat mental, behavioral, and emotional disorders. I’m specially trained in CAMS framework (suicide treatment), Complicated Grief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Domestic Violence Offender Treatment, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Somatic Experiencing Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I'm also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I often use a trauma-informed integrative approach. I urge my clients to bring all parts of their personalities and all their emotions into session. I encourage clients to keep the focus on themselves, forge an authentic connection with me, be very curious and not judge themselves, take responsibility for their behavior, use sessions to identify themes and patterns, continue their work outside of session, and use challenges as opportunities for growth. I believe that a holistic approach is essential for lasting recovery. I collaborate with my clients as they begin to pursue their recovery journey. A treatment plan is developed to help guide what we expect to see as a result of the healing process. Positive changes are evident when clients engage and make decisions to improve their experience of life. I offer individual treatment via a HIPAA-compliant platform during various times, Tuesday through Friday. I am currently accepting new clients and look forward to meeting you.
