Mark Horn
Greg Horn received a PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Memphis with a doctoral internship at Michigan State University's Counseling & Psychological Services. He received a Bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in English, with a Spanish minor and a Masters degree from Appalachian State University in Clinical Health Psychology. Dr. Horn enjoys working with couples and has training in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy. Broadly, Dr. Horn's approach is humanistic, experiential and multicultural. He draws from trauma and attachment theories and enjoys helping couples get out of their stuck patterns. He then explores with them how to say what they really want to say to each other. Easier said than done, right? It is a simple AND challenging approach, but can have a lasting impact. You can expect that I will strive to listen, understand and validate you and your partner in the here-and-now. You can expect me to challenge you to experience your underlying attachment fears and needs in the presence of your partner. We would then talk about what they was like to say and listen to those needs and fears, and around and round it goes. :)
