Hey, I'm Matt. Life may not offer a lot of certainty, but one thing is for sure: everyone struggles sometimes. You might feel like you struggle MOST of the time. I’d like to counter that notion with the belief that embracing those struggles can be the key to overcoming them. To be clear, embracing our struggles doesn’t mean they simply disappear, but I believe we can learn to acknowledge and manage them in a way that will allow us to feel more empowered and prepared to face them. When we live with anxiety and depression, it makes sense that we would want a permanent fix, but I believe that expectation too often leads to feelings of hopelessness simply because that’s not how anxiety and depression work. What if, instead of waiting for them to magically disappear, we learned to acknowledge those feelings and used our own unique experiences with them to get ourselves through the struggles? If you are struggling, I’d like to offer a safe space for you to talk it out and hopefully come away with a different perspective on your ability to manage your anxiety and/or depression. I might point out a turn here and there, but you’ll do the driving!
