Hello, I'm Harv. I have discovered the joy of seeing not only relationships heal and grow but also the individuals within them. Your relationship offers great potential for both you and your partner. While we all may have experienced wounds in past relationships, the good news is that you can heal in your current relationship, and so can your partner. The two of you can do the hard work; I can help!
I am a Certified Advanced Imago Relationship Therapist, a Pastoral Counselor, a Clinical Supervisor, and an Addictions Counselor. I am independently licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor. I hold advanced degrees in both Theology and Counseling. Additionally, I have completed postgraduate clinical training in Couples Counseling, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Spiritual Direction, Pastoral Counseling, and the treatment of Substance Use Disorders.
One of the best ways for you to reconnect with your partner is through dialogue. I coach an emotionally safe way of communicating that promotes mutual respect, validation, and empathy for each other. You sit facing your partner and talk to each other while I sit close by, acting as a facilitator for your conversation, empowering you to strengthen your own relationship.
Having recently retired as a clinical supervisor with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and with over 19 years of experience in private practice, I have a broad scope of practice. Now semi-retired and working out of my home office, I am able to offer flexible appointment times.
If you are ready to take the next step in your journey towards healing and growth, I would be honored to work with you. Let's start this journey together.
